Plot Summary :
Meraki and Nico have always been best friends but everyone knew that they were destined to be together. And they once did, that is until everything was brought to light and it changed their paths. Both of them now separated and had to live their own lives.
But Nico is back. And with him came the bag of secrets everyone tried to hide. All the demons, meraki hid, the things she suffered, she will have to bare it all to him because Niko always knew her. Always knew that she was his and this time he was here to remind her again. But Meraki knew that he was hiding things himself. Big things. Things that could change everything between them.
Overall Opinion :
Meraki and Nico pulled me in right from the start!! Almost the initial 50% of this book seemed very very similar to 'sicko' by this author so I was a tad bit bored but then things picked up and I was again hooked in. The storyline was good and don't even get me started on that ending 💀 what the hell was that. I don't know if this one had a happy ending or not, because it sure confused me lmao.
The general backbone of the storyline was still like sicko so you guys know what to expect if you have read SICKO by this author. The book is also filled with trigger and dark scenes because the author did not hold back and I liked that. I don't like sugar coated dark scenes because they remove the actual meaning and importance of the scene and then you have to search for crumbs in the story after the scene to know what actually happened lmao.
Apart from the disastrous ending, a few more things threw me off and those were the absolute arrogance of the hero and I don't mean it in a good way 😂 I get that heroes are arrogant but for Niko it was more than that. No matter how many times he decided to reject Meraki, she was just supposed to take it. At first I thought it was because he didn't know her past and was misjudging her but nooooo. He knew everything and was simply being a little boy with his jealousy 🤦♀️🤦♀️I just wishes that the author gave us a bit more character development and grovel rather than the general heroine who just spread her legs as soon as the H opened his mouth, no matter what he did.
